About Mandalight
Mandalight is a form of visual art that focuses on the use of light-color-sound frequencies and harmonious geometric patterns, wchich can also inspire or guide meditative inner experiences. Stepping away from standard designs, Mandalight presents light sculptures and art installations that enhance meditative experiences through visual perception.
Artist's Statement
Narek has been interested in methods and experiments with expanded states of consciousness for a long time. It was in summer of 2008 when he was working and living in a beautiful spiritual commune in Italy, when he got his first inspiration to create sculptures that will involve light, color and space. Since then it has become a dream to be able to reflect that spaces of meditation and beauty into the forms of light sculptures which can be shared with people.
He has been experimenting with different ways of sculpturing and painting of sacred geometry patterns and in the making of it also involving the latest technologies of 3-dimensional printing and nano lights. Gradually it has evolved into a concrete way of making things named "Mandalight". It does not clearly fit into the definitions of art, therapy or a high-tech modelling. It is perhaps some meeting point between these different dimensions of creativity, spirituality and high technology.
Inspiration
